How I base Alabastre by Fusherin How I base Alabastre by Fusherin
A few rough sketches I did of Alabastre as a Nidoran.

As you can probably guess, they are all rabbit based, because I honestly can't think of another member of the rodent family with such large ears.

...funny thing is, largomorphs like rabbits are actually more closely related to horses than they are to any member of the rodent family. Thank you discovery channel.

The bottom is Alabastre as Nidoking, I didn't use a base for this image, becuase I don't think I can purely base Nidoking off a dinosaur or komodo dragon.

Why not dinosaur: The body build supporting his head wouldn't match his initial design, and he'd be huge.

Why not komodo dragon: While komodo works for Nidorino, Nidoking is sitting up on his two back legs and has a more obviously human torso - so his head needs to be supported on a different neck base.
